Having sold more than a million copies for the iPhone in just 74 days, the new HD version arrives to the delight of veggie chopping enthusiasts around the world. Though the gameplay remains unchanged, the iPad version now supports eight finger swipes and multiplayer game modes.

I’ve managed to squeeze in some Fruit Ninja play time on my iPad and it’s already become my current favorite time-waster on the device. Multiplayer works splendidly and it’s loads of fun competing against a friend (or foe). The price tag ($4.99) maybe a bit steep for some, but hardcore fruit fanatics who loved the game on the iPhone surely won’t hesitate to pick up the HD version.
